Trilogy of Five

I hope you can feel my hands because I’m gunna make sure they’re the last things you remember
And when you slit my throat I’ll make sure that you know I’m in debt to you forever
I never could get the hang of Thursday’s
But I got a grip on this savage little beastie

If I had to fall, I’d fall through anything
Just to get a glimpse of your starlit eyes
If I had to crawl, I’d crawl through anything
Just so I can make you mine

Light it up, burn it down
Kiss the sky, hit the ground
Think it up, write it down
Walk the aisle, wear the crown

This is a song that was pieced together from other songs that only got partially finished, and for once, the result was actually pretty decent. The title is a reference to The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and also a reference to how I have planned out the song in my head, as a series of five “movements”, much like Matt Good’s We’re So Heavy. Musically, I only really have 3 parts written out- one culled from a song I had written a long time ago (which of course, the lyrics I have lost), and the final 2 parts I just randomly wrote one day while noodling around on my bass.
